Bullying Online

This site is part of the United Kingdom's National Grid for Learning and is linked from government departments, from Health Department websites as well as from websites of more than 60 local governing councils and 12 UK police forces. This site incorporates approximately 30 different sections including several on different types of school bullying policy and on other issues such as how to deal with racist problems and mobile phone abuse.

Center for the Prevention of School Violence

Established in 1993, the Center serves as a primary resource for dealing with the problem of school violence. The Center, a public agency not motivated by profit, focuses on ensuring that schools are safe and secure so that every student is able to attend a school that is safe and secure, one that is free of fear and conducive to learning.

Connect

This initiative brings together practitioners and researchers throughout Europe to provide substantial and authoritative reports on school violence and to examine intervention strategies which appear most promising in terms of prior work and wide European applicability.

European Observatory of Violence in Schools

The observatory was founded in Bordeaux in September 1998 (jointly funded by Bordeaux university, the European Commission and the French Ministry of Education), as a research centre for the study of violence in schools and urban violence in Europe.

Hamilton Fish Institute

The Institute, with assistance from the U.S. Congress, was founded in 1997 to serve as a national resource to test the effectiveness of school violence prevention methods and to develop more effective strategies. The Institute's goal is to determine what works and what can be replicated to reduce violence in America's schools and their communities.

Institute on Violence and Destructive Behavior

The Institute helps schools and social service agencies understand violence and destructive behavior to ensure the safety of young people and to facilitate the academic achievement and healthy social development of children and youth.

National Association of Students Against Violence Everywhere

This mission of S.A.V.E. is to decrease the potential for violence in our schools and communities by involving students in meaningful crime prevention, conflict management, and community service activities.

Nature and Prevention of Bullying

This project, sponsored by the research training initiative of the European Commission, studies the causes and prevention of bullying and social exclusion in schools.

Virginia Youth Violence Project

The mission of this project is to identify effective methods and policies for youth violence prevention, especially in school settings. The project conducts and disseminates research on the understanding and reduction of violent behavior and provides education, consultation, and training for educators, psychologists, and other colleagues in the social, legal, and human services professions.
